http://ejurnal.lkpkaryaprima.id/index.php/ijitacsc/article/view/291

This study focuses on auditing the Information System for Thesis and Graduation Registration (SI-Rasida) at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) using the COBIT 4.1 framework. SI-Rasida is a crucial system for supporting academic administration processes, ensuring that thesis and graduation registrations run efficiently, transparently, and accurately. Given the importance of SI-Rasida, optimal management is necessary to avoid risks such as data breaches and operational disruptions. The COBIT 4.1 framework is used in this study to evaluate and improve IT governance in SI-Rasida. COBIT 4.1 offers comprehensive guidance in four main domains: Plan and Organize, Acquire and Implement, Deliver and Support, and Monitor and Evaluate. This study focuses on the Monitor and Evaluate (ME) and Deliver and Support (DS) domains. The research methodology employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through questionnaires distributed to UINSU students. The findings indicate that the maturity level of SI-Rasida is at level 4 (Managed and Measurable), with recommendations to reach level 5 (Optimized). The study's findings highlight the need for improvements in monitoring and evaluation, as well as updates to policies and procedures to ensure a more efficient and secure system. By implementing the recommendations from the audit results using COBIT 4.1, SI-Rasida is expected to better support academic and administrative processes and minimize existing risks. This study makes a significant contribution to the development of better IT governance in the academic environment, particularly at UINSU.
Amiran Anindya PutriDariana TanjungNovita Rizky AndiniSela Malika

http://ejurnal.lkpkaryaprima.id/index.php/ijitacsc/article/view/292

The research aims to evaluate the security of the Academic Information System (Portal SIA) at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) using the COBIT 5 framework, specifically the APO12 (Manage Risk) and DSS05 (Manage Security Service) sub-domains. The Portal SIA is a critical system used to manage academic data for students, lecturers, and academic staff at UINSU. The main problem investigated is the evaluation of the security level of the academic information system at UINSU, considering the high dependence on the Portal SIA, making system security a crucial issue. The solution offered in this research is to assess and analyze the capability level of the academic information system security based on the sub-domains of the COBIT 5 framework. The research findings indicate that the capability level of the academic information system security at UINSU in the APO12 sub-domain is at level 3 (Established Process), and in the DSS05 sub-domain, it is at level 4 (Predictable Process). This means that the security processes of the academic information system have been defined and standardized, and they are already being operated according to their functions and duties. However, there are still some areas that need to be improved to achieve a higher maturity level. Improvement recommendations are formulated to enhance the maturity level of the academic information system security at UINSU.
Masdaliva RibbonRifki Ade AnandaFebry PratamaWinditha Putri ChayaniMartiza Amatul Ihsan

http://ejurnal.lkpkaryaprima.id/index.php/ijitacsc/article/view/293

Information Technology is developing very rapidly, encouraging all aspects of life to be made easier with a system developed with supporting features and functions. Information System Audits are carried out to ensure that the procedures in the agency's existing systems are running properly. Therefore, the author uses the COBIT 5 Framework which is used in auditing the information system. To measure the maturity level of this information system performance, the author uses the COBIT 5 Framework. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of SI-MABA using the capability model determined by COBIT 5.0. This evaluation will provide an overview of the extent to which processes and services related to SI-MABA have been implemented and operated in accordance with the best practices recommended by COBIT 5.0. The results of this evaluation will be illustrated through the Rating Scale determined by the COBIT 5.0 framework, which includes capability levels from 0 (no process) to 5 (optimized process). Thus, this analysis will make it easier to assess SI-MABA's performance and management, as well as identify areas that require improvement and development in the future.
Muhammad Faris AdiraBeautiful Novita JambakAtikah RifdahAisyah Ramadhini Gultom

http://ejurnal.lkpkaryaprima.id/index.php/ijitacsc/article/view/294

This research was conducted to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of library information systems at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UIN North Sumatra) using the COBIT 5 framework in the EDM01 and BAI10 domains. The research method used is a qualitative method. Analysis of the EDM01 domain shows that the current capability value is at level 2.13 with level 2 capability, while the expected condition reaches a value of 4.18 with level 4 capability. In the BAI10 domain, the current capability value is 1.9 with capability level 2, while the expected condition is 4.19 with capability level 4. These results indicate a significant gap between current conditions and future expectations, indicating the need for improvement in setting and maintaining policies and practices of library information system processes, inputs/outputs, and activities. Based on the analysis, the capability level gap is at level 2, indicating areas that need improvement to enhance system capability. Recommendations for improvement include periodic evaluation of the governance framework, training and socialization programs, implementation of measurement and reporting mechanisms, and active involvement of senior management. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to optimize the capability of SI-Library at UIN North Sumatera and support the achievement of strategic goals more effectively. The COBIT 5 framework provides a strong foundation to ensure library information systems meet user needs and improve user experience in accessing information.
Khairunnisa Nabilah PutriMelva Aliyah Royani SiahaanShila Kartika BarusTrya Nurjanah

http://ejurnal.lkpkaryaprima.id/index.php/ijitacsc/article/view/295

With the rapid development of technology, the use of information systems to meet information needs in organizations is increasing. An effective information system can make a positive contribution to increasing efficiency and productivity. The to-do list information system developed in this research aims to help students organize and complete their assignments more efficiently. This system uses a waterfall approach and is web-based. The process of developing this system begins with conducting a needs analysis, where the behavior of students who often forget assignments is studied and related data collection is carried out by observing a number of students. Next, the system design model is developed, for example, the process of adding tasks to the task list by students. The next step involves designing the process flow for the system to be implemented. After the design stage is complete, the system is then implemented by coding using tools such as vscode. The hope of developing this system is that it can increase student efficiency and productivity in organizing and completing their assignments.
Silvi IndryaniYahfizham
