Journal Focus
JURIBMAS (Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Berdampak) is a scholarly journal dedicated to disseminating the results of community service and engagement activities that integrate academic expertise, research findings, innovation, and practical solutions to address community needs.
The journal emphasizes participatory approaches, community empowerment, collaboration between universities and community stakeholders, and the implementation of science, technology, and appropriate innovations. Contributions should demonstrate a clear connection between identified community needs, the interventions undertaken, the methods used, and the outcomes achieved.
Scope of the Journal
1. Community Empowerment and Social Development
Community capacity building, participatory empowerment, social inclusion, poverty alleviation initiatives, community resilience, local institutional strengthening, and the development of sustainable community-based programs.
2. Digital Transformation and Information Technology
Digital literacy, information systems implementation, artificial intelligence applications, digital marketing, website and mobile application development, data management, information security awareness, and technology adoption to improve community productivity and public services.
3. Education, Training, and Capacity Building
Educational innovation, teacher and student capacity development, professional training, digital learning, vocational skills development, technology-based learning assistance, and lifelong learning programs that respond to community needs.
4. Entrepreneurship, MSMEs, and Local Economic Development
Micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) development, entrepreneurship training, financial and digital literacy, product innovation, business management, e-commerce, marketing strategies, and strengthening local economic potential.
5. Health, Environment, and Sustainable Development
Public health education, preventive health initiatives, environmental awareness, waste management, clean and healthy living practices, conservation, climate change adaptation, and community-based sustainable development.
6. Appropriate Technology and Innovation
The development, adaptation, transfer, and implementation of appropriate technologies, applied scientific innovations, community-based tools, and practical solutions designed to address local challenges and improve quality of life.
7. Agriculture, Food Security, and Rural Development
Sustainable agricultural practices, food security initiatives, agricultural technology adoption, farmer empowerment, rural entrepreneurship, local resource management, and the strengthening of community-based food systems.
8. Culture, Tourism, and Local Potential
Cultural preservation, community-based tourism, local wisdom, creative industries, cultural heritage promotion, and the development of local resources to support inclusive and sustainable community development.
9. Governance, Public Services, and Community Institutions
Community-based governance, public service improvement, village and local institutional development, administrative digitalization, civic participation, legal awareness, and collaborative problem-solving between academic institutions, government, and communities.
Expected Contribution and Impact
JURIBMAS welcomes manuscripts that provide a clear and meaningful account of community engagement activities, including the community context, identified needs, intervention design, implementation methods, evaluation approach, results, and lessons learned.
Priority is given to contributions that demonstrate:
- Clearly identified community needs and relevant intervention strategies.
- Active participation and collaboration with community beneficiaries.
- Evidence-based outcomes supported by appropriate qualitative or quantitative evaluation.
- Potential for sustainability, replication, or wider community benefit.
- Lessons learned and practical implications for future community engagement initiatives.
Relevance of Submissions
Submitted manuscripts must fall within the journal's focus and scope and demonstrate a substantive contribution to community service, engagement, empowerment, or development. Authors should explain the relevance of the activity, the methods employed, the outcomes obtained, and the significance of the contribution to the intended beneficiaries.
Manuscripts that primarily report theoretical discussion or laboratory research without a clear connection to community engagement and its practical outcomes may be considered outside the journal's scope.
