Ethical Standards

This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process of JURIBMAS, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. These ethical principles are established to maintain academic integrity, transparency, accountability, and the quality of scholarly communication.

JURIBMAS adopts internationally recognized publication ethics principles and follows the best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure ethical scholarly publishing.
 

Author Responsibilities

Reporting Standards

Authors must present accurate research findings and provide sufficient detail and references to enable replication and verification.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that submitted work is original and properly cite all sources. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is prohibited.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Appropriate recognition must always be given to the work of others through proper citation and referencing.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of research findings.

Corrections and Retractions

Authors are obligated to promptly notify the journal when significant errors are discovered and cooperate in correcting or retracting the publication.

 

Editor Responsibilities

Publication Decisions
Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published based on scholarly merit, reviewer recommendations, and journal policies.
Fair Play
Editorial decisions must be made objectively without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, or political beliefs.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose information about submitted manuscripts except to individuals directly involved in the review and publication process.
Conflict of Interest
Unpublished materials contained in submitted manuscripts must not be used for personal research without explicit written permission from the author.

Reviewers should accept assignments only when they can provide timely and competent evaluations.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents and not shared without authorization.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by authors and notify editors of potential overlap with existing literature.
