Plagiarism Prevention Policy

JURIBMAS is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work and must be free from plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and unethical publication practices. Every manuscript undergoes a plagiarism screening process before entering the peer-review stage.

Ethical Principles

Original Work Requirement

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited. Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are entirely original works.

Proper Citation and Quotation

Any use of words, data, figures, ideas, or research findings from other sources must be appropriately cited and referenced.

No Duplicate Submission

Manuscripts describing substantially the same research should not be submitted or published simultaneously in more than one journal.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Authors must acknowledge all influential publications and intellectual contributions relevant to the reported work.

Plagiarism Screening Workflow

1

Editorial Preliminary Assessment

The Editorial Team performs an initial evaluation of each submitted manuscript through manual examination of offline and online resources. This process includes verification of citations, quotations, references, and academic writing practices.

2

Similarity Check Using Turnitin

All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin Similarity Check to detect potential plagiarism and improper source attribution.

Similarity Threshold Policy
Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be automatically rejected and returned to the authors without entering the peer-review process.

Author Responsibilities

  • Submit only original and unpublished work.
  • Provide complete and accurate references for all cited materials.
  • Avoid duplicate publication and simultaneous submissions.
  • Ensure all quotations, paraphrases, and borrowed ideas are properly acknowledged.
  • Comply with international publication ethics standards.

Commitment to Academic Integrity

JURIBMAS maintains a zero-tolerance approach toward plagiarism and unethical publication practices. Through rigorous screening procedures and adherence to international ethical standards, the journal ensures the credibility, originality, and scholarly quality of all published articles.
