Abstrak

  1. Garuda Mas Perkasa is a company engaged in the production of swallow sandals. The performance process of each part of the production process is always supervised by the karu (foreman) who is the person who leads the casual workers. By using the karu (foreman) system, the construction company only deals with the karu (foreman) as a third party, there is no need to relate/responsible to the workers. So the company must have a karu (foreman) who has full insight in the implementation of production. The process of selecting karu (foreman) at PT. Garuda Mas Perkasa is still done manually by recording one by one the names of employees who will be analyzed and then inputted by HRD using Microsoft Excel 2003, and evaluating employees directly. The karu assessment process is assessed in terms of discipline, length of work, activity, work experience and employee performance, the assessment process still uses ordinary paper archive books, namely workbook recapitulation so that errors often occur in determining employees who will be appointed as karu (foreman). So far, the assessment process for determining the position of foreman (foreman) has not gone through a computerized system that is integrated with a special database, so that it is difficult to obtain the results of the selection of candidates, difficulties in making decisions to determine the position of foreman, difficulties in filing for the next evaluation material. There are many other factors to judge someone to occupy a certain position such as endurance, perseverance and thoroughness or other skills. These factors can be managed by a system that can help for decision making.
