Copyright Ownership, Author Rights, and Open Licensing
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright ownership of their published articles in JURIBMAS. By publishing with the journal, authors grant JURIBMAS the right of first publication and authorize the publication and dissemination of their articles under the license stated on this page.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cite the work of others, and comply with applicable copyright, attribution, and permission requirements.
2. License Terms
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
Articles published by JURIBMAS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, subject to the journal's applicable publication agreement. This license allows others to share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided appropriate attribution is given.
Under the CC BY 4.0 license, users may:
- Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

3. Author Rights
Authors retain copyright ownership and may share, archive, deposit, and reuse their published articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic platforms, and other suitable channels, subject to the terms of the applicable license.
When sharing or reusing a published article, authors and other users should provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s), article title, journal, and original publication, and include the DOI or article URL where available.
4. Third-Party Materials and Permissions
Authors must obtain permission to reproduce copyrighted third-party material when required by applicable law or the relevant rights holder. This may include photographs, illustrations, tables, figures, and substantial excerpts from other publications.
Authors should identify third-party materials and any applicable license restrictions clearly in the manuscript. Material included in a published article is not necessarily covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 license if a separate rights notice indicates otherwise.
5. Attribution Requirements
Anyone reusing material licensed under CC BY 4.0 must provide appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made. Attribution should not imply that the original author(s) or journal endorses the reuse.
Where available, include the article title, author names, journal name, publication year, DOI or permanent URL, and the license link.
6. Policy Transparency
JURIBMAS aims to provide clear information about copyright ownership, licensing terms, and the rights of authors and readers. Authors should review the applicable publication agreement and the license terms before submitting and publishing their work.
Copyright Protection and Responsible Reuse
JURIBMAS supports responsible scholarly communication by clarifying author rights, license terms, and the appropriate reuse of published research.
